Look at me, getting this post in right before midnight here. Today was pretty laid back, and I probably should think about ramping it up but hey. Whatevs.
First, I busted a move and did 2 ounces of Scatness I had left, and got this lovely three ply out of it:
No idea yardage, gonna wash then measure.
And then I processed all the chocolatey brown out of that fleece I bought at the Iowa Sheep and Wool Fest this year:
They are as soft as they look. This year I’ll be mostly carding because the staple on the CVM isn’t particularly long enough to do combing. I don’t really mind it; it’s got a different rhythm and if I load properly it’s pretty relaxing too. I’m planning on making a sample for spinning first thing tomorrow since this is going to be sweater yarn, and start processing the silver next.
