Intarsia, or why i may not finish a project

So if you ever intend to design a gift for someone, and you aren’t a fan of intarsia, you should PROBABLY avoid using it.

At the moment, I’m working on a gift for a friend. I’ve 1–gone to straight needles for the first time in ages due to it being easier with intarsia (the project is knitted flat, but I usually still prefer circulars for such), and 2–have 7 different spools of yarn. And this isn’t even the part the requires the lots and lots!

I’d felt switch colours — there are only two colours, and it’s alpaca, so it’d work grandly–but I started the intarsia already and damned if I won’t finish the intarsia!

At least this is the hardest part of the gift. When it’s over, it’ll be lovely.
